HBF Run for a Reason

See the face below, thats my happy/proud face. I went on the treadmill today to train for the HBF Run (my second big training session) I walked/ran 20km in 2hrs 55mins. Pretty happy with myself right now even though I am totally destroyed physically and mentally! Looking forward to a long soaking bath and putting my feet up on the couch! Thank you Michelle Bridges, without you I never would have attempted something like this..ever!!

HBF Run for a Reason

Yesterday I did my first full training walk for the HBF Run for a Reason. I walked for 2hrs 10mins. I am feeling it today but not where I expected :)

On the 22nd May I will walk 14km and all monies raised will go to the Cancer Council of WA. I am walking in memory of my friends and relatives that have lost their brave battle with cancer.

Here is the link to my fundraising page http://hbfrunfundraising.com.au/brigitte_harris

I thank you in advance for taking the time to check out my page xxx

Scrapping Share

A few more layouts to share, I have scrapped so much this month I am amazing myself!

This one is from Chook Scraps Amazing Race - round 2, see if you can guess the criteria or head on over to the forum and check it out!

Another Blind Scrap page from Scrapbooking from Scratch I am loving these classes as I am getting all my travel photos from last year scrapped! I changed this one after as I journalled on the kraft cardstock and then hated my journalling, so I painted it out, journalled again and added some stamps to match the doors!
This page was about my obsession with taking photos of doors over in Europe!

Yesterday I spent all day up at Just Scrapbooking in Perth and did 2 great classes. The first class was taught by Jordie. Two beautiful layouts designed to be a double if you wish. I made them two singles as the one titled Ellie is now framed and will be given as a gift to my friend! The paper range is Theresa Collins Posh and I loved it so much I just had to buy more :)

The second class was taught by Sandie and was a beautiful boxed gift set of cards. We used the cricut in this class. Love the way this project turned out.

The pretty box including 4 matching cards.

One of the cards inside the box.

I am very happy with all these creations, they are so different and all so much fun to do :)

Michelle Bridges - Mini Milestone

As part of the Michell Bridges 12WBT program we have to complete a mini milestone every 4 weeks. This weeks challenge was to complete a mini triathlon (please insert shocked expression here) This was to consist of a 5km walk/run, a 10km bike ride and an 800m swim! We could also choose to do this at home using our own equipment or at a gym (substituting the swim for rowing) I decided to complete it at home using my own equipment. Unfortunately I do not have a rowing machine so I walked my dogs for 25 mins, then completed a 5km walk uphill on the treadmill and a 10km cycle on my exercise bike! Total time 1:29:34! Even though technically I did not complete a triathlon I am very proud of myself and what I achieved today :)

4 weeks to go for this round and then I am signing up for round 2. Bring it on :)
