Scrapping Again??

Well I have done one layout this weekend!!
This was the monthly sketch challenge at www.bonsscraps.com.au Peta was the sketch master this month!!
I would love to do more but my mojo just hasn't quite come back, I have three unfinished layouts on my scrap table!!!
I am trying to add 1hr of creativity everyday to my wellness plan, it is such an important part of wellbeing!!
I have completed my first assignment in my aromatherapy course and half way through the second one! My house smells devine with all the different oils I am burning :)
My daily routine goes something like this:
Morning - get out of bed light my burner with my chosen oils for the day, this could be to encourage creativity, mental clarity or uplifting and de-stressing. Then it's in the shower for a body brush with my selected oil. After showering I massage an oil blend in to my skin until I glow :) I then use a flannel to hot compress my face with a rejuvenating oil, then tone (another oil), then moisturise (you guessed it with another oil suited to my skin)
Evening - burn relaxing oils, have the occasional relaxing bath, meditate, go through my night time facial routine (same as morning but with night oils and no moisturising), brush my hair 100 times (to encourage growth and health), do a bit of light reading then off to sleep :)
Now I just need to add in the healthy meals, the creativity and presto I will be a new woman :)

New Age Me :)
Ok so I haven't blogged for a while but I have made a very big turning point in my life (well I think so anyway)! (shows what turning 46 does to a person)
I am now an empty nester (mixed feelings here) I am very happy for the kids as they have a lovely little place and they are very happy being independent!!
So with all this space and time to myself I have a few big projects on the go!
A light has turned on in my brain to tell me happiness comes from within and that I am the only one who can create my happiness - profound eh! So I have been busy reading some very enlightening books and working on projects that have been neglected in my life for a very long time!!
I have finally got off my behind and put in a vege/herb garden that I have been wanting for so long. The caterpillars are eating my broccoli but I don't care as it is such a good feeling to have accomplished a goal!! I have also been trying to colour up the garden and make it a more pleasant place to be! Those hungry caterpillars have eaten my marigolds but such is life in a garden :)
I am also finally paying some attention to my poor neglected house, I am putting in the little touches that will make this house my home!! Another of my profound ideas that I need to appreciate and be grateful for what I have in my life instead of longing for something I don't have!!
Another area of my life I have decided to work on is my brain and to that end I am starting a course in Aromatherapy. I have always loved oils and natural scents and been a big believer in their healing/therapeutic properties!!
I guess what I am trying to achieve is a balance in my life, now some things have taken a back seat such as my scrapping but once I find that happy medium I will have the time to pursue all the important areas of my life!!

Butterfly Wonder

A few weekends ago while Ian was home we went out for a drive. We stopped to have breakfast in Brunswick Junction (we won't go any further on that!) and while eating I noticed across the road at the top of the trees, heaps of butterfiles hovering around! Needless to say out came my camera and these are the shots!!

2009 The Year of Change

I have decided to follow the trend and choose one word to sum up my hopes for 2009!
That word is CHANGE: to alter or make different; to quit one state for another (although I don't think this is literally lol); to convert; to become different.......
For me to realise my goals I need to CHANGE: change my perceptions, change my fears for calm and rationality, for these fears hold me back and keep me from living the life I dream of, change my comfort zone...just a little or if I'm brave a whole lot!
My new quote really sums up the way I mean to take on this year of 2009!

Journey to a Healthy Me!!

After having a whinge about feeling lazy and unfit I finally decided to take the first step and start walking. My goal is to walk at least 4 times a week. I am aiming for little goals...small steps!! A few kilos a month would be nice anything more would be great!!
So this is me at the beginning of my journey :)

For a Short Time I had a Life!!

Well I've been prompted to update! Forgive me it has been one month since my last post :)
Since then Ian has been home and we headed to the Midwest for a few days of LIFE and checked out the Wildflowers. Now the girls over at Bons had a great time with this one as it had been 6 weeks since I had seen Ian :) Just to prove we did indeed check out the Wildflowers we took a couple of photos!!

Little Man

This layout was created using the Blind Challenge set by Peta McBeth http://pj-petesplace.blogspot.com/
I added a few of my own touches to the final layout and then entered it in to the lovely Sandies September challenge at Bonsscraps!
This photo is of the first time I met my gorgeous Grandson Jett, which was the day we went to the zoo in Perth.
Carousel

I created this layout from Petas September number challenge at Bons Scraps http://www.bonsscraps.com.au/
The photo is of Codie on her first carousel ride. She absolutely loved it. She was like the little Queen waving each time she came past us. It was so gorgeous to watch and I am so glad I was able to be there! Iwant to experience as many of these moments as I can with my Grandchildren :)
