Today we attended the EAG Christmas party where all the companies took part in a Viking Race :) It was a fun day, great weather, great band and awesome entertainment!!

Unfortunately John Holland came last apparently due to unfair wind drag on their sails lol, I say it was over engineering of the boat that caused the problem :) too big and too heavy!! Next time they might let a woman design the boat!!

Round 3 Kit Competition at Bonsscraps

Over at Bon's there is a massive competition happening. We are in to week 3 and for this round 1 of the challenges is to create our own kits and then scrap a page using our kit!!

Quite exciting for me as I usually only ever use kits put together for me and complete layouts from challenges or classes. I hope to have the layout finished today :)

Scrapboxx Retreat

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend a day at the October Scrapboxx Retreat!!
I created 8 layouts in a day...unheard of for me!!


The first class was the wonderful Sheree McGee and in this class we created 7 layouts!!! Yep that's right 7!!
I must admit I did not actually complete them all but the basics are there and they just need titles and journalling!! Here is one I actually completed today :) I have added 'my' new idea on this page :)

The next class was by the gorgeous Evana Willis, way different to my style but a style I really admire!! I love this page!!

I had a lot of fun and would have loved to have been there for the whole weekend so I have booked myself in for the March retreat next year in Augusta!!

In the Mood!!

When I woke up this morning I found myself in the mood for gardening!!
I headed in to Bunnings and bought myself some colourful plants

This is the garden bed I want to change..it's right outside my bedroom window and not ver interesting to look at

So I dug them out and placed the pots where I want them to go

This poor fellow didn't know what was going on :) I hope he likes his new home when I am finished!!

I have been battling on and off lately with an illness I just cant shake and I have been doing a fair bit of grizzling to Ian :(
On Thursday after another day off work and another grizzle to Ian, I received these from my lovely husband!!

Did the trick and cheered me up :) Unfortunately not a cure for whatever is bugging me but certainly helped!!

This was so funny she was trying to eat her dinner and her feet kept slipping on the floor, her legs kept getting wider and wider apart - I couldn't help myself I was laughing so much!! Poor Dog - not!!

Here are some photos of our naughty escape artist Gypsy!!! She wanted to get out so badly she ripped off the nails on her back feet! I just love the colourful bandages the vet has been putting on her...it looks so cute!!

July Picture a Day

Over at Bons we had a challenge to take a picture for each day of July. I didn't get one for each day but this is the selection of some of the photos taken in July!

And Heres Another One

This layout was created using Bons July Girl Kit! I glimmer misted white cardstock with sea glass and rose tea then stamped the hibiscus flowers. I sewed the circle around the photo using double zigzag on my machine. All the extra bits, stickers, rubons, tranparencies and the gorgeous butterfly are from Bons shop - with the exception of the 'queen for a day' sticker which was from a kit from Scrapbooking from Scratch.

The photo is of my gorgeous niece Kimberly all dressed up ready for her year 12 ball. My sister took the photo in her beautiful garden!!

I love the way this turned out, I was trying to capture a real autumn feel about the page and I feel that I have succeeded :)

Today I Scrapped!!

This page is created using Bons July Boy Kit...there was one rule with this one, we were not allowed to use the ugly dog side of the BG paper but I thought it was sooo cute I had to use it :)

The photo is of my son Jaryd doing his favourite thing - tormenting the dog!! "Jaryd put her down" are frequent words in this house when he comes to visit :)

I love this layout, the rubons and the distressing and the crazy sewing down the side, it really looks fabulous IRL!!

Big Life Update No. 2

Well I have been continuing my quest for internal happiness and contentment. That has lead me to taking on a 4 week massage course to complement my aromatherapy studies. This weekend will be my final class and I have to say it has been an amazing journey..not because of the massage (which I have not received but have been giving) but because of the interesting people I have met through this course. It never ceases to amaze me all the different types of people that make up the world and it is a part of this wonderful life that interests me to a large degree. Through this course I have been thinking about my next journey and I am trying to make a decision on further study, perhaps a university course in psychology or at the very least something in the health science field!! Need to do some serious thinking on this one!!

My Garden

A few months ago I spent a bit of time working on my garden. This is the result, now it is a lovely place to be!! Still have a bit of work to do but at least there is some colour now :)

Rainy Saturday!!

I have been happily scrapping today, watching the rain and occasional hail through my scrap room window!! I have some beautiful oils burning today - bergamot, orange and ylang ylang - very uplifting!!

So here are my creations for today. Both layouts are from online classes at Bonsscraps.

Scentual Delight is from May taught by Sandie...this one is about something you are loving at the moment..no guesses for what that is for me :)

Flirty Girl is the June online class taught by Charm. I love this photo of Tara..it captures her personality so well, just look at the spark in her eyes!!

She scraps again!!

'The Hugo Sisters' was for the Paper of the Month challenge at Bons Scraps not entirely happy with it, I was trying for a Heritage feel!!
'First Tim Tam' is for the June Write Now challenge at Bons...challenge was set by the lovely Sandie...special moments!! I think you will agree that your first Tim Tam is definitely a special moment :)
